A few months ago my computer stopped detecting my graphics card. I eventually decided to request a replacement under warranty, and just got the new one in today. To my delight it worked for all of three hours before I left for awhile and came back to a black screen that displayed 'no signal output'.
First I tried fixing the drivers, when I looked the graphics card was under the 'view hidden devices' section of device manager and I tried following a tutorial by uninstalling it, but now I cant reinstall the drivers because it cant detect I have a nividia card. I ended up calling tech support and they had me reset the computer by turning it off and removing the battery on the motherboard and restarting it with the HDMI cord in the HDMI port of the graphics card - to no luck. Ive tried moving it to the second slot on the motherboard but no dice. Nothing is working! The tech support guy told me they tested the one I sent back and it worked alright. Im so upset, I just cant figure out what is wrong.
I did some searching and found this video by totallydubbedHD. I THINK this may be my issue, as my keyboard and mouse flash just like his does, but he goes so fast and uses lingo im not familiar with and I just cant follow his instructions for fixing it. He talks about going into BIOS and changing some stuff but I heard you can really mess up your PC if you do that and im worried I may mess it up.
If anyone knows anything I can do, and is perhaps willing to explain it to me simply as im not so familiar with computer terms, I would very much appreciate it. I just graduated and was really looking forward to playing some Final Fantasy Online with some buddies.
