I haven't been able to edit messages on my gmail account on my iphone all day, so I decided to try deleting and re-adding the account to my iPhone. Now it won't let me add it back. I type in my username and password and it takes me back to the "add an account" page in my settings without any loading screen or anything. wtf. is there a fix for this? I'm really annoyed right now.
background information: iPhone 7 running iOS 10.3.3, my gmail account was linked and worked fine on this phone for the last year.
EDIT: just added 2-step verification to see if that would work and no help. I just get prompted to type in my texted code after my email and it then goes to the add an account page in my settings as if nothing happened
Edit2: called google support and they were unable to help me (typical google) and they sent me to apple support who didn't answer...
