TNI AL Tambah Armada Kapal Perkuat Wilayah Perbatasan
Manado: Pihak TNI AL terus memperkuat pengamanan dan pengawasan kawasan perairan di wilayah perbatasan Indonesia-Filipina, di Kabupaten Kepulauan Talaud, Sulawesi Utara. Terbaru, TNI AL menambah alutsista armada laut Kapal Angkatan Laut (KAL) Pulau Kabaruan yang akan beroperasi di bawah komando Pangkalan Lanal Melonguane.
Danlanal Letkol Mar Augustinus Purba Melonguane mengatakan, bergabungnya KAL Pulau Kabaruan 1-8-32 diharapkan dapat memperkuat Lanal Melonguane dalam mengemban tugas di laut.
Ia menambahkan bahwa pemberian nama KAL Pulau Kabaruan, sebagai bentuk terhadap kearifan dan budaya lokal sehingga diharapkan mampu menjadi penyemangat di Kepulauan Talaud.
“Seperti kita ketahui bersama Pulau Kabaruan adalah salah satu pulau terluar yang ada di Provinsi Sulawesi Utara yang berbatasan langsung dengan negara lain,” tandasnya.
Sementara itu, Plt Bupati Kepulauan Talaud Petrus Simon Tuange mengungkapkan dengan memperhatikan kondisi geografis Talaud, kehadiran KAL yang baru sangatlah dibutuhkan.
“Sebagai wilayah Kepulauan yang luas wilayahnya adalah lautan, maka penambahan alutsista untuk perairan sangatlah dibutuhkan. Kehadiran KAL Pulau Kabaruan sangat diapresiasi,” ucap Petrus.
Ia menambahkan, penambahan alutsista KAL Pulau Kabaruan merupakan pertanda bahwa negara hadir, negara peduli terhadap daerah perbatasan.
“Saat ini nelayan kita merasa aman dan nyaman,” tambahnya
Diketahui KAL Pulau Kabaruan dengan nomor lambung 1-8-32 merupakan alutsista pengadaan terbaru buatan anak bangsa dengan panjang 12 Meter, Lebar 3 Meter dengan kecepatan maksimum 20 Knots serta mempunyai teknologi navigasi dan penginderaan yang modern dan merupakan bagian dari reinstra TNI AL dalam mewujudkan kekuatan pokok Minimum Essential Force.
