Donisha Prendergrast is suing a Rialto Police. She and her friends were detained after a white woman called the police claiming it's a burglary in progress.
It seems like you can't have an AirBnB if you're Black.
I posted this sometime ago and now it seems like if you don't wave to the white neighbors, then they will call the police on you.
The granddaughter of iconic reggae singer Bob Marley was stopped by the law after a neighbor called the them. The neighbor called claiming there was a possible burglary.
This happened at Rialto, California.
Kelly Fyffe-Marshall, Donisha Prendergast and Komi-Oluwa Olafimiham and their fourth friend who is white were stopped. The cops were wearing body cameras and dispute some of the interactions.
There were seven cruisers that surrounded the group.
The neighbor was an elderly white woman.
The incident happened on April 30th and it just managed to make the news.
They had locked the neighborhood down and issued an helicopter to track their whereabouts.
Now Prendergrast is suing the department for the whole ordeal.
The owner of the property said this was a simple misunderstanding.
So if you don't wave at your white neighbor, I guess they will call the law on you?
