I swear that there's someone on the WI DNR payroll whose job includes posting puffery that is undermined by actual Scott Walker policies.

Like publicizing May as Clean Air Month on the same day the US EPA rolled back clean air standards for much of SE Wisconsin so Foxconn could more easily exercise fresh DNR to spew another 796 tons of air contaminants from its proposed Racine County super-factory.

Now the DNR is touting May 14-18 as Bike to Work Week despite Walker in his 2017-'19 budget stripping local governments of a key power to build more bike lanes:
“That leaves us speechless,” said Dave Cieslewicz, executive director of the Wisconsin Bike Federation, in an email statement. “Taking away an authority local governments have had since statehood wasn’t a major policy item? Making bike and pedestrian facilities more costly and cumbersome or forcing them to be scrapped altogether didn’t deserve more time for debate? Harming everyone’s safety by not providing more safe places to ride and walk isn’t something the public has a right to weigh in on?”
Yet, from the DNR's Facebook page, this:

Bike to Work Week rolls today through Friday! One of the many benefits of cycling is that it’s a low-impact form of exercise and a full body workout. Pedal to the office or hit the trails after work this week - or every week! Do you bike to work? Let us know in the comments below!
