The two magazines are covering national and international news separately, but Lawrence combines them into news reports of U.S. in World and 1948 [1] and Later sold the magazine to its employees. Historically, this magazine tends to be a bit more conservative than the two main competitors, Time and Newsweek, and focus more on the story of economic, health, and education. It's also distancing news, entertainment and sports celebrities. I have a dilapidated X550VC for my primary web-browsing computer. It's been set up to boot off USB for years now (no hard drive in it). For no apparent reason, it suddenly refuses to boot unless the UEFI secure boot option is used. Same USB stick, same OS, two options in the boot menu -- "Sandisk" and "Sandisk (UEFI)", if I pick the non-UEFI one it tells me that the media is not bootable.

I have half a dozen memory sticks with different versions of Linux on them, and this happens with all of them. It started behaving this way with all sticks at the same time, so it is not some sort of damage on any individual stick.

The BIOS boot options show that secure boot is disabled.

It used to not care whether secure or insecure boot was used. In point of fact, I never used to have to select, it would simply boot off the insecure by default. Now, I have to actually move around on the menu and select the secure one or the error comes up. Every. Single. Time.

Any ideas on what can be done to fix this? I'd like to be able to use insecure boot since not every distribution has been given the option of signing their images for UEFI.
