Hello! A week ago my old laptop with Windows 7 started acting really weird. My brother was using it, and after rebooting it to use the sd reader (it only works if there's an sd card inserted when it's turned on) the phrase "preparing desktop" appeared, and everything was resetted, wallpaper, drivers, font type, all settings, and many softwares disappeared and others stopped working properly. I spent a whole day fixing it (some drivers have become quite difficult to find nowadays), but when I rebooted it to complete some installations it went back to the resetted state! I can change even the smallest settings, it's all reverted when I turn it off or reboot it! I read that it has something to do with a corrupted user account, but I want to be sure before doing anything, as it has become quite frail (I don't use it as my primary Pc anymore, but since it has a very large display, I still use it if I have to write or search something for long periods of time). Do you think you could suggest me some course of action?
