I feel this is the same technology that came with the first types of wireless mouse and keyboards, you click the connect button on the dongle, and the connect button on the device. The small light starts flashing, and if you're lucky, the two will find each other, and stuff works. But 80% of the time, they don't find eachother, and you have to troubleshoot. Replugging the USB cable, reseating the batteries, rebooting the computer, reinstalling the driver. And suddenly stuff works again, and you have no idea why.
Some days, my Xbox controller connects perfectly fine with my computer, other days, it just doesn't work. There's not much difference between the days, my phone is situated at the same place, the controller is in the same place, the dongle is in the same place, trying to move it closer to the controller, but to no avail.
Why is this like this? Why isn't this technology so easy to pair like bluetooth stuff is?
