Please help.
I'm a student in college and of course, I have a project to complete soon. When I finally revisited my USB with my half-completed project on it, I found that some of my subject folders seem to be completely corrupted?
I've never seen anything like this before. I don't know how it happened. Every "folder" seems to have a different, corrupted name, and even the file types are different.
I don't really care if some of my folders aren't recoverable. I never had much on them anyway.
But what I am terrified of is starting my project all over again. In this Imgur album, you can see it under "school files/history research topic".
It used to be a text document titled "Christmas Truce of 1914" or something like that. Now it's an unopenable folder with a single, strange character as its title.
I don't know how to search for a solution to this? I have no idea how this happened and I don't know what to do.

EDIT: I didn't notice until now, the dates of the files are insane too. From 1989 to 2107. What is going on here??
