So I was looking to set up a virtual machine, and didn't know that there were 2 different ones, VMWare and VirtualBox.
Was looking to set one up for a child to browse the internet with, and whatever else the child may do. Just want to ensure that the way it's set up doesn't affect main PC. Will be installing an anti-virus on the virtual machine but wasn't sure exactly which one to get. What's the difference between them?
I was thinking about using either windows 7 or linux, although for linux I'm just unsure since there are so many different ones to get, like mint, ubuntu(?), kali, lite, etc.
Want it to be a safe machine from viruses, or at least try to be as free as possible. So unsure if VMWare or VirtualBox could isolate it from the main pc, or if there are viruses I could roll back from screenshot to where there was no viruses on it. I know that VirtualBox could do it but just wanted more insight
