I just updated to Windows 10 Pro 64-bit from Windows 7, and my computer can no longer detect when there's an audio output device plugged in. I get this problem even when my speakers, headset, or earbuds are plugged in. I tested with all the audio jacks in my pc. All these devices work fine on other computers and worked just before updating. I have already tried running the troubleshoot but it didn't really seem to do anything, just said that it wasn't able to fix the problem. I tried updating the drivers but that only said that they were up to date. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling after restarting my computer to no avail. Finally I tried changing it to the "High Definition Audio Device" shown here with no results.
I made sure to restart my computer after each attempt at these solutions. Pretty frustrated and looking for some help, thanks.
edit: also I'm not sure if this is an issue but it's giving me a warning about the Multimedia Audio Controller.
