Alright so here's a long story short summary of what's been going on with my PC:
Out of no where about a year ago I turned on my PC, went to play League of Legends. I usually run 60fps no problem on max graphics; I was getting 4fps on minimum graphics. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling drivers, even fully reinstalling windows + drivers, nothing worked. School kept me busy, so I wasn't able to look into the problem more.
Today I decided to give things another try, I opened up nVidia GeForce and updated the drivers, restarted PC, and my resolution was set to like 1024x768 or whatever the default is. I noticed in my device manager that my GeForce GTX 560 now had a little "!" next to it, and under details it says; "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"
So I googled this issue, and code 43, and discovered users have had success by updating their motherboard bios, and then uninstalling nvidia drivers with 'Display Driver Uninstaller' by guru3d. And then reinstalling GeForce Graphics Card drivers through the single driver downloader, vs the GeForce experience application.
I updated my BIOS using a USB, flashed it in BIOS boot settings. Success. Uninstalled drivers with DDU by guru3d, then installed the correct driver for my specific nvidia card, restarted PC, and... windows still shows error 'Code 43' for my card. When I open GeForce experience, it says no drivers were found, then updates, finishes updating, and still says I need to update, even after restarting my PC.
Is my graphics card dead? I'm not quite sure what else I could try. Please let me know if any other information from me or my PC will be of use in diagnosing the problem. I miss PC gaming ):
edit: I've also tried putting my graphics card in the other slot in my motherboard, and going through the entire process again ^ .. no success.
edit 2: I get TERRIBLE FPS on ALL games I've tried, even before I ruined things even more today. When my graphics card did 'work' just a few days ago, I couldn't even play MineCraft on lowest settings. Even 1080p YouTube videos would sometimes lag and screen tear randomly. A quick reboot would fix this for a bit, but never would fix FPS in gaming at all.
