My 1 year old HDD was throwing error 7 and freezing. I bought a 500G samsung SSD and installed it as an added drive to the system and began downloading different games to it while I tried to fix the failing HDD.
While installed this way, all games loaded super quickly. My load time into Dal on wow was super quick.
HDD froze again so I figured it would best to clone it before it died completely and I lost windows. So I cloned it last night and reset Boot order.
Start up times are a bit better, but all games are now about the same as my HDD.
I still have my old HDD hooked up with everything still on it. Wanted to make sure this worked out before I wiped it.
What have I done wrong here? Why would it be slower now?
