Hello, first time poster here I hope I'm doing this right.
General system specs: Windows 10, GTX 1070, intel i7, and the monitor in question is a Samsung SyncMaster 2333.
I have a Samsung SyncMaster 2333sw that stopped working properly this week. When the DVI cable isn't plugged in to my computer, it seems to work (It flashes a no signal dialog on the screen, which it has always done), but when plugged in the picture is just black. It doesn't even display onscreen configuration, like brightness adjustment, and the auto configure button does nothing.
I've tried other DVI cables, no change. I've tried other graphics cards on my computer, no change. I've tried a different computer, no change.
When I use my TV as a monitor, and have the Samsung SyncMaster plugged in at the same time, my computer detects the SyncMaster, but the piture is still black. Actually my computer even shows it is a SyncMaster with up to date drivers. And I did make sure to have 'dual monitor' active, so that isn't the problem.
In device manager, the device has no issues.
As far as I can tell this monitor should be working, but it isn't. I'm not sure what else to check. I'd love to fix this problem without resorting to buying a new monitor.
Do any of you have any idea what I could try next?
