I have been surfing the web on my computer for quite a while now and reaslised that my computer is being uncharacteristically slow and unresponsive, with chrome and spotify freezing often.
I then looked at my ram usage and realise it’s at 92%. I have 8GB of ram and usually dont hit these numbers unless I have a game open. I see that chrome is apparently using 26% of my memory, and close it, only to see that spotify is now using 20% of my memory. After closing that and all other apps, leaving only minor background processes running (rainmeter, steam, razer synapse that sort of stuff), I am still using 87% of my 8GB of Ram.
I can see no possible reason for this and task manager doesn’t show any applications that are using more that 100MB. The percentage values or actual values of individual applications do not add up to anywhere near the supposed memory usage.
Does anyone know what is going on and any possible fixes. Here is a VERY high quality video to show what I am talking about a tad better.
