This is a problem I have had since getting my new monitor and I am unable to find a solution online.
I have a 100hz monitor that is normally set to 100hz. If I open a game sometimes it will set the monitor to 60hz. After closing the game the monitor will stay at 60hz and I am unable to change it back to 100hz in the NVIDIA control panel as the option doesn't show up until I restart my computer. Windows desktop settings will show the 100hz option in advanced display settings but this doesnt work as it will not enable it. I have tried custom resolutions with native res and 100hz and that still won't work.
I have two GTX 1080's in SLI that is connected to my monitor via display port. I have tried HDMI and the same thing still happens. Driver updates don't fix this either. I have also tried this will SLI disabled which still doesn't fix it.
