I just installed an H100i V2 on my GIGABYTE GA-AB350-Gaming 3 // Ryzen 5 1600. Everything in my system works fine, except now my top PCIe slot, that is, the PCIe x16 slot, is experiencing issues.
Namely, when my GPU (MSI GTX 1070 Ti titanium) is in that specific slot, the board lights up the "VGA Error" light and no display signal is passed through the card. The LEDs on the side still function, as do the fans, so I don't think it's a problem with power delivery. Currently, the card is in the second PCIe lane, which the board says runs at x4. I can use the PC as normal this way, so I'm not extremely concerned, but what happened to my poor x16 slot?
My only guess is that a crumb of old thermal paste fell and is shorting two traces, but I don't know how plausible that is.
