Hey guys I’ve been searching literally anywhere and couldn’t find proper help so I thought I should try here.
I was borrowing my brothers PC which wasn’t in use for at least half a year, but running without issues last time used. I had to put graphics cards back in place and somehow when I turned it on it wouldn’t start running. So I tried turning it on without using the power switch (connecting two connectors with something metal) reconnected the RAM-sticks and graphics card and checked wether an unwanted drive was connected. But all it did was turning the fans, it didn’t even give of any BIOS sounds. So then I thought why don’t clear the CMOS which I heard can sometimes help. Suddenly the PC booted completely normally. I played game and then turned it of, it started doing some Windows updates.
After that I never got it working again. I tried clearing CMOS again, even took out the BIOS battery, disconnected the hard drive (obviously) even replaced the thermal paste on the CPU. But nothing is happening. It’s just keeps spinning the fans no sounds no video output (of any kind).
I would be very grateful if you could help!
Some Specs: pretty old AMD processor (some kind of six core)/ 2 x NVIDIA graphics (SLI)/ 700w PSU/ 16gb DDR3 RAM (normal clock speed)/ don’t know which model the motherboard is/ HDD 500gb/ Running Windows 7
