I can successfully connect remotely to my pfSense (v2.4.3) box via OpenVPN, but once connected I cannot ping or browse devices on the remote network except the pfSense box itself (IPSec connections behave the same way). I am running OpenVPN as an admin on a Windows 10 PC.
I started my OpenVPN setup from a clean install using the pfsense wizard (setting WAN=DHCP and IP=192.168.230.254. Then I created an internal CA, server cert, user, user cert, then linked user to user cert. Then I ran the OpenVPN wizard.
The OpenVPN wizard created two new rules:
- WAN IPv4 UDP4 from any to WAN address:1194
- OpenVPN IPv4 from any to any
However, after restarting the pfSense device, the WAN rule stopped users from browsing the internet so I disabled it and added: WAN IPv4 from any to any which fixed that particular problem. I've monkeyed with more rules, including putting "from any to any" rules on all interfaces with no improvement, so I'm thinking maybe rules aren't my problem.

Any theories or other help on how an OpenVPN user can get on the LAN would be appreciated. Hopefully I'm making an obvious mistake.
