When plugged into the microphone port either on the front of the case, or on the back directly to the motherboard, the audio for my mic is very quiet/muffled (in fact, it's barely audible when plugged into the motherboard directly). However, when plugged into a headphone + microphone splitter, the audio will work for only the port on the front of the case, and not the one directly on the motherboard. Device manager says that all the newest drivers are installed.
