If I try to open steam just to log in my internet is disconnecting/crashing. It crashes if I try to connect to steam via my other computer (these computers both connect to my router via a switch) At first I didn't know what is was but I did a process of elimiation and it is 100% steam. It crashes my whole internet as even my phone won't load via wifi, when my pc is wired ethernet.

It only seems to occur randomly though, for instance I was playing a game for around 2-3 hours. Then my internet randomly dies and only works when I close steam. So I went to bed, woke up and it was working no problem again. However it happened again tonight, this is the 2nd time it has happened. I haven't downloaded anything
I have tried:
- Restarting my router
- Resetting my computer
- Reinstalling steam
- System restore
- Disabling my AV
- Disabling / Adding exceptions to my firewall
- Launching in safe mode w/networking (steam still causes it to go offline)
- Asking my step-father to open ports on the router etc (he said everything should be fine)
- Edit: Reinstalling/updating my network driver
Things I think it could be: My switch, my router, my isp, Steam.
