Hey all.
Recently, my iPhone 6 that I have been using for around 3 years (from the end of 2014 till now) started to act up randomly 4 days ago.
I was using the "Voice Memos" function, and then my iPhone started to get warm. I figured it was because the "Voice Memos" app just used a lot of battery, so it was normal for the phone to get warm. I let it charge for a few hours and when I came back, it was still warm.
To make matters worst, I double tapped the home button and found out it froze the screen for 30 seconds. Unfortunately, I was super busy this week (like I just had 3 exams), so I didn't have a lot of time to find a real solution.
This problem has been going on for 4 days. I try to turn on and off my phone, or press the home and power button simultaneously to force a reboot. This fixes the problem for like 5 minutes (double tapping home button does not freeze the phone, no lag, no heating up), until the phone starts to get warm again and all my other previous problems starts acting up, like screen randomly freezing, double tapping freeze issue, some apps take like a few extra seconds to open.
I am using an iPhone 6 that is on iOS 7 (I know, really old). Is my problem because I am not updating my software? Or is it a hardware related issue? I have been using an official Apple charger that has its front wires exposed a bit (I know, I keep forgetting to change), so could this also be the issue?
