I have an Asus Zenbook UX430 laptop with the following specs:
i5 7200U
16GB of RAM
Nvidia 940MX with latest drivers
500GB SSD
Windows 10, fully updated
I'm experiencing input lag only in Source games such as Team Fortress 2, and Goldeneye Source. The input lag feels very similar to the input lag from vsync; however, vsync is not on. My FPS in each game is high, usually 80+ even with all the graphics maxed out. I've tried lowering the graphic settings, lowering the resolution, playing in windowed mode (as opposed to fullscreen) but nothing seems to help. I couldn't find much using Google.
I play other games, like BF1 and GTA5, without any input lag, so it seems like it's related to Source games for some reason.
Has anyone experienced this before or may know what could be causing it? Thanks.
