I'm on the verge of moving out, my job, my hobbies all revolve around having a decent network that is "stable". I don't need a super high download/upload speed, i only need stability. Please and i do say so, please, help me. It's making me crazy now ;/
I have a 4G Modem(with SIM card), using the same 4G cell tower my phone uses. There are no problems on my phone whatsoever, never had any problems with it ever, same company/ISP. I have bought $500 worth of equipment to fix it, without success. The problem is that when i use the internet, and there is a lot of data incoming, it just fails on/drops for anywhere between 3-20 seconds. It does this persistently for a period, and some days it doesn't occur at all. I'm a big time gamer, 4000 hours in counter-strike, this is a huge issue. I also design for a job, so when my internet quits on me and spotify stops playing for a while it gets really annoying, especially since i pull assets from certain internet databases. I have done absolutely everything the ISP has told me to do, lock it to only 4G, try the different MHz, change the APN, use googles DNS server, changing the NAT to open, disable UPnP. I have changed between wireless and wired. Nothing changes anything. So i bought the absolute best modem i could find ($300), and used a compatible 4G Stick to transfer the connections of the SIM card to the modem through usb (which it supports completely). The problem completely stopped, but another one surfaced. Now it wouldn't be just failing for 5-30 seconds, it would stop the network completely until i restarted the modem. When i restarted the modem it worked completely fine instantly. It is driving me mad. I can be in-game with an enemy in my sights and suddenly he just stops moving with the animation still going, while i can still move. And then he suddenly teleports away, while i teleport back to the location i were when the internet was fine, and i'm dead. The ISP says there is very very low dropout on the 4G Cell Tower. I have changed MTU i have done so much with no success. Please help me i'm desperate. Sometimes i can connect to google in a few milliseconds and facebook won't load at all simultaneously. And it will stay like that until i restart the modem. It's just so wierd.
