So I was forced into the Windows 10 Fall Creator Update yesterday as I was leaving work, went through the update no problem.
Today I used the laptop for at least a couple hours as I did some taxes, house hunting, etc. I shut it down to go to the neighbors house and upon returning the computer won't turn on. The charging light won't come on showing it's been plugged in, tried removing the battery and giving it some time to reset, tried different times of holding power button to start it up, nothing.
I found one thread through Google where a Dell support person suggested motherboard replacement, and the OP of that thread said they fixed it by some odd combination of plugging, unplugging, and pressing power button. OP of that thread also said they had just don't the Win10 fall creators update so I'm wondering if there's a correlation.
I can also hear a very very faint whining when the computer is plugged in coming from the corner near the power indicating LED.
If anyone knows of any other things I can try, that would be great otherwise I may just be throwing a motherboard at it.
