Hey all! I'll start with the specs:
- card - Zotac geforce gtx1060
- board - msi b250i gaming pro ac
- power - corsair cx550m
- cpu - i7-7700k
- cooler - Noctua NH-D15 SSO2
- ssd - M.2 2280 Solid State Drive - WDS250G1B0B
- ram - Vulcan 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM
If more is needed let me know. I'm running into an issue where after playing games or doing much in full screen, something causes DWM to crash hard and renders the computer unusable. I seem to be jumping between 2 different reports in Event Viewer, one that doesn't capture anything and another being captured by Windows Error Reporting. I've tried a different card, and different drivers for each of those cards, but no change. When it fails, the gpu card just turns the fans to 100%. With a 970, got a green screen (but still unusable) and with the new card 1060 it's going black. I'm not really sure how to confirm which component is the culprit, and the 1 year window is right around the corner so i'm hoping to identify a fault point and do returns as needed before it's too late.
Any suggestions on where to look?
