Let’s say my brother’s roommate takes out his hard drive when he’s not home, plugs it into one of those external hard drive enclosures or a HDD duplicator, doesn’t change anything on the HDD/SSD , then puts it right back into his laptop without turning it on at any point.
Will the laptop resume like normal or will there be some message or error.
I ask because my brother still backs up his iPhone to his PC and not the cloud. And I know you can break into those back ups.
His roommate already broke into his room to “borrow his tv to impress a girl”. Yeah go figure. So I’m just curious if he’d know that his data has been breached.
