So I found this old DVD that I believe might have some old home movies burned onto it. Unfortunately I believe the original source VHS is long gone, which is why I'm hoping this DVD isn't a lost cause.

When I put the DVD into my DVD player or my computer, it tells me that it is unplayable because it is a blank DVD. Besides the fact that the disk has a "burned" ring on the underside, I think the Disk Utility on my computer might be telling me something else.

The DVD's info seems to show that the DVD actually has no free space and is entirely full (as far as I can tell). Here's the screenshots to help prove my claim: https://i.imgur.com/YZDakQG.png https://i.imgur.com/1V9Yhu0.png

Here's what I think might be happening (although I could be entirely wrong): Back in the early 2000s, we had this VCR/DVD combo player that also let you record things onto DVDs (either from the TV or from a VHS tape). But the weird thing was, you could only ever play those burned DVD in that particular DVD player, they never worked anywhere else.

So I'm wondering if maybe this is one of those DVDs that was burned in the combo player (which is sadly long gone), and if there was any way possible I could somehow find the file(s) on this DVD if there are any in the first place.

I hope this make sense, and any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
