Trying to fix mom's PC. It loads up the 'starting windows' screen. Then black screens for about 10 minutes, then goes into a blue windows wallpaper and does nothing else. Same with safe mode. Tried all of the options on the 'f8' screen. Tried putting in a windows 7 boot disc to do a 'system repair' and it tells me 'System Recovery Options not compatible' even though it's the same disc I used to install windows on the PC in the first place. I ran an Ubuntu disc, and all of the data is still on the hard drive. It just won't boot anything related to windows. I even tried formatting but it just hangs. Any idea? Sorry for being long winded. Just trying to give all the details I can.
