So I have been dealing with this for a while, and been trying to take every step I can to fix it, but I honestly can't figure it out now.
I used to use pirated OS' which I know is extremely bad security wise, I have since fixed all that. I have done scans everywhere, used every tool I can, uninstalled steam and removed every trace of it from my system, reformatted, etc. and still, every time, within 2-3 days, I get another email saying someone got my login right.
So I tried something different. I work at company that has some laptops that we rent to clients. I took one of these laptops, flashed it to our default image, downloaded steam and changed my password. This computer has never been on my home network. Nothing is connected to it that I have used before. Changed the password, logged out, uninstalled and waited.
Boom, this morning, a day and a half later got guess.
These are very difficult passwords, caps, no caps, symbols, no repeating letters, +20 characters. Have tried the XKCD pattern, but every time, within a couple of days, my password is guessed.
Is there any way of petitioning steam to change my login name? And does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? Thank you for your help
