Hello, I recently purchased a used GIGABYTE Windforce R9 290 for cheap, even though the seller said the card was working, I found out it wasn't the case. After I installed it, upon booting the fans don't spin and there is no signal. Using the onboard graphics I can see it's read in device manager, but after a while it BSOD's with a THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER error unless I disable it. So far I've tried the following:
-DDU'ing and reinstalling multiple versions of drivers, from 15.12 to the latest ones
-Changing power cables
-Using a spare graphics card to rule out bad PCIE slots
The PCB physically looks good, also what's weird is that the card gets warm when it's plugged it, GPU-Z can read it, but it shows 0Mhz for both core and mem clock. I welcome any ideas on how I can get this beast running for at least a while.
