A bit of context. The fan in my old PSU Seasonic m12ii-750, started rattling like crazy. So i decided it was time to replace it and purchased a Corsair CX750M.
I installed the Corsair, made sure all the cables were in the right spots and that they clicked into the slot. Yet my pc wont boot into bios, no beeps, no error messages, nothing.
Through a lot of troubleshooting, i discovered that my pc wont boot with all 24 pins inserted into the motherboard, but will boot and ask for PCI-E cable to be inserted, with only 20 pins.
My old Seasonic PSU ran perfectly with all 24 pins.
I have a Asus z170 pro gaming motherboard. Are the last 4 pins broken? am i not pushing them in hard enough? (i really fucking pushed those little shits) Can my PC run with only 20 pins?
What do i do?
