So I just built a new PC, Maximus VIII motherboard, i7-7700k CPU, brand new DDR4 RAM, and a Kraken x61 water cooler. Unfortunately I did not think about how I would switch over my HDD to the new one before taking it all apart, so the drivers of course did not work and would not let it boot past the windows start screen. I'm not sure what happened after that but now it does not work very well at all. Half the time it will turn on, but it won't activate (I assume the right word) the monitors and I have to turn it off and on, then it can't even go into startup repair without bluescreening if it even let's me get that far. Finally I attempt a memory test for it and immediately into the test it says there's problems, and then froze 72% in. CPU isn't getting too hot or anything, it seems to stay around 25 Celsius. What should I try next? I made a bootable USB for windows 7, should I try a fresh install? Thank you
