I live in a dorm, and we have 2 WiFi networks. One is eduroam, for phones and computers and such, which has a login page, and then there's devicenet for smart speakers, gaming consoles, etc. that can't access that browser login page, and we have to submit the MAC address for them to whitelist. Phones and laptops aren't supposed to connect to devicenet, but I want to have my laptop on the same network as my Xbox One so I can stream games to my laptop screen. Is there any way to make this possible?

I've registered my computer's MAC address with them, but when I connect, it says no internet.

Also, sorry if this is the wrong subreddit. I've never posted about this kind of thing but this seemed to me like the right place.

edit: I should probably add that for whatever reason, when my Xbox is connected to devicenet through wifi, and my laptop to eduroam, I am able to stream, despite being on different networks. However, the connection is awful so I switched to a wired connection for my Xbox and that's when it stopped working.
