I'm getting a DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION BSOD when I try to edit in Sony Vegas. People online have recommended I update my device from device manager. As you can see my 960 EVO M.2 is showing up in Disk Drives, but there is no IDE ATA/ATAPI controller section for me to update. Trying to update the driver from the Disk Drives section says that there is no update. I then tried to update it through Samsung Magician but am told this is not a supported drive. I know there is an update because I built the system in early January and in late January version 3B7QCXE7 was released.

I've also never installed the NVME driver because I didn't know I had to. That also does not want to install as it's saying there is no NVME connected. This prompted me to go in to my UEFI where I noticed that my M.2 is showing a bootable drive but not in my storage info which I'm assuming is the reason I'm currently unable to install any update. Anyone know why this is? Also, does anyone know of any other potential fixes for this BSOD?

AsRock Z370 Fatal1ty Gaming K6 – BIOS 1.3. There is 1.8 but it was released a week or 2 ago and I don’t want to beta test it, considering 1.7 was giving people a very hard time.

8700k @ 4.8Ghz

1080ti running driver 391.24. I was experiencing this issue with the 391.35 (Far Cry 5) driver so I rolled back as that was the only recent change I made. I was able to edit for about 30 minute before getting the BSOD. Upon restarting I tried to edit again and, like originally, I blue screened in about a minute.

Windows 10 home 10.0.16299 Build 16299. I have no pending Windows updates.
