Initially I wanted to get a new GPU. Turns out I need strong PSU and furthermore that my motherboard only has 14 pins... So I decided to just get a new motherboard (I had to get a new case as well...) and PSU all together
I now have a ASRock H81-BTC-Pro (i think 2.0), 650W PSU, i5-4400 CPU and a Radeon RX 550 GPU. With that out of the way, here is my issue:
I can not connect my PC to the monitor. I get "no video input, entering sleep mode" when connecting the cables and booting the pc. Furthermore my PC keeps restarting every 1 min but Im assuming that is because I havent gotten around to configuring my PC yet, so I'll leave that be for now.
What I've tried:
-Using VGA - on motherboard only since GPU doesnt have VGA socket
-Using HDMI - on motherboard and GPU
-Using a TV and regular monitor screen in order to test if there was something wrong with my monitor.
-Removing the GPU all together in order to run off the CPUs integrated GPU
-Removing RAM so only one remains (while on the topic of RAM, both of them are DDR3 which are compatible with the mobo)
-Using my old graphics card
-Rechecking every wire connected... three times
Im not sure whats next. Everything is brand new so I'd be surprised if something is malfunctioning. These issues have been persisting for the past 3 days. Solve one problem and another arises. I feel so close, yet so far. I truly hope you guys can give me an idea as to which direction to take from here on out.
