It's been my experience with LCD screens that computer monitors do not have any backlight adjustments. Yet this adjustment is featured in every LCD based HDTV and laptop screen. This is NOT to be confused with the Brightness adjustment which every screen has. For reference, my current monitor is a LG 27UD68-W 4k 27".
Does anyone know why this is or if this is the case?
I asked this question in askredit, but no one seems to know what i'm talking about because many commenters don't understand the difference between backlight and brightness settings:
