So, my laptop filled up with viruses. It was very slow and also i wanted to update my windows to windows 7 but for that time, it was working; i decided to format the laptop but at a given moment (stupid me) i did a forced shutdown while the "Starting Windows" Screen showed up. Now i can't neither format the laptop with a usb (because laptop hangs up at "Starting Windows"), nor access safe mode with networking nor with command prompt. All i can do is access BIOS and Repair My Computer after pressing f8. I've tried the following:
-Startup Repair (Shows "Your problem couldn't be fixed" and send report to microsoft. In the status log the only error i saw was " A recent driver installation or upgrade may be preventing the system from starting, Error code = 0x490"
-Format the HDD from another PC.
-Using another HDD in case my original HDD was faulty.
-Update BIOS.
-Unplugg for minutes CMOS battery to restore BIOS defaults.
-Change SATA config from AHCI to ATA.
-Load Windows 7 from USB to format or repair laptop (I doesn't get past "Starting Windows").
I've tried everything and can't seem to find a solution. I'll appreciate any help you can give. My laptop specs are: Dell XPS M1330 Processor: Core 2 Duo 2.0Ghz Ram: 2Gb DDR2 Motherboard: Intel PM965 No Battery plugged, just AC power supply.
Before the hard reset laptop was working just fine booting past "Starting Windows" Screen.
