So this might be a bit general but I work for a company as a junior tech, we outsource to a larger firm but that costs alot more $$ / hr so I'm used for simpler projects and tasks.
My boss wants me to come up with an e-mail to send to everyone with best practices for data management on our server.
So far I have :
-Consolidate information into one place so duplicates don't exist and everything for a project can be easily found.
-Keep personal files and folders on your C drive and not on the server
-Send hyperlinks to files in e-mails instead of copies of the file so only one copy exists and to keep PST / OST files smaller.
I'm trying to think of more, can anyone suggest some good best practices for file management or just general practices?
Thanks!
