Hi there, First of all a warning as I’m not the biggest tech head! So I recently found out that my computer hard drive has a fault. I currently have two hard drives a SSD 250gb and a 3tb main drive, I ran a BIOS diagnostics and it came up with an error in the 3tb hard drive (Dell error code Error Code 2000-0151). I would happily just replace this but my issue now is I only have the data partially backed up because I’m an idiot.. However I’m guessing due to the fault of the hard drive whenever I try to transfer data off it either to a portable hard drive or onto the SSD drive it freezes. Sometimes it gets to 50% sometimes 75% but that takes a LONG time. It usually transfers super fast then the transfer rate goes down to 0 kb/s for a good few hours then transfers a little bit more. However I left it on for a good few days and it still stuck on 75% which I’m guessing means it’s not doing anymore.
Does anyone know a way in which I can solve this to transfer my data properly?
Any help is very much appreciated!
