For the past 2 months (since a microsoft update) my desktop is in a constant random reboot mode. About 40% of the time it happens when I left click regardless of whether or not I'm on the internet (a different trackball showed no change).
When these random reboots happen, my system reboots but NOT the monitor, thus I have cold reboot up to 5 times before the monitor will also boot.
It's not my ram (tested). I uninstalled the updates and tried to shut down every possible way to stop them (thru google) and even disabled updates via Ultimate Windows Tweaker, but it still updates and that also causes the reboot with no monitor problem.
I found a supposed fix (kb4078130_b86f0bf2dc0866a0e117ed2d4a5302fab0493a7b.exe) but it didn't help, even possibly made the problem worse.
I have gone back to various system images, all to no avail. I have re-installed Windows 10 Pro, and even tried Windows 10 Enterprise. Still random reboots. I disconnected all storage drives and also disconnected my ssd and installed fresh windows 10 on a hard drive. No luck.
Also after that update, my ssd is pathetically slow to boot. When I installed fresh os the boot time was fixed, but not, or course the reboot problem. My desktop has never gone above 65c.
I also moved my graphics card to a different slot. I have swapped out my power connections to the psu and to the ssd and hard drives.
I'm at a complete loss and this is driving my fucking insane.
