When the problem first started the videos were appearing totally black while playing audio, but since I installed new video drivers they now show the first frame then go to black static with a message saying "an error has occurred. Please try again later." In both cases, only the video and part of the heading bar would load (Screenshot), but none of the rest of the page.
Restarting Firefox in Safe Mode plays videos perfectly fine.
- No extensions are installed.
- Only the default plugins are installed: OpenH264 Video Codec, Widevine Content Decryption Module, Shockwave Flash. Setting them to Never Activate has no effect.
- Reinstalling Firefox didn't help.
- Using the "Refresh Firefox" feature didn't help.
- Clearning all history including cache didn't help.
- Internet Explorer has the same issue in both normal mode and safe mode.
I've tried everything I can think of. Any suggestions?
