Hello, first time posting here, sorry if this is the wrong sub.

I have a custom built rig running win7 on it. I've had this rig for a while, hosted the per supply, gpu, and motherboard over the years. My os was given to me from a friend when I first built the thing, turns out it wasn't a legit copy.

Over the years I had no issue with Windows recognizing my os wasn't authentic until win 10 came out and was being shoved down our throats. Ever since then I turned off automatic updates, and had an issue where my computer would have a black background with white text saying this may not be an authentic version of Windows. I fixed this issue with a guide twice and thought that was the end of it, but it eventually reverted back to the black background with white text on there bottom right corner. Everything else worked perfectly fine.

One day I turned on the computer and nothing worked, the fans weren't spinning as fast and nothing booted. Oh great, my power supply is shot I thought. I diagnosed it and fixed the issue, but still nothing worked, wouldn't boot, black screen. Tested the monitor, it worked. Normally I had my monitor plugged into my mother board and that was working perfectly. I tried plugging it in to my gpu and I got some feedback. A black screen with a blinking line on the top left hand corner. A Google-fu later, turns out it's a signal that there is no os. ok no problem, let me boot to bios. Tinkered around a bit and finally got my normal boot screen that would boot into the same blinking line. My logitech keyboard would boot up after my computer, so I bought an Amazon basics keyboard and mashed the bios button multiple times every which way I could, but it would never respond.

At this point I gave up and left my computer alone, it's been about 2 months. Yesterday I took it into a repair shop, but the guy said he'll have to continue to work on it because he's not sure what's wrong.

Not sure what to do if he can't fix it. There's nothing important on the drives, so I can do a clean install, but I'm not sure how to dip that when I can't boot into bios. Sorry for the length, hope you guys can help!
