This happens about once a week if I remember. Likely a timed scan that goes though files thoroughly.

I don't know if it is actually scanning or if it is updating windows defender or something, but in task manager: System, Microsoft Compatibility Telemetry and Antimalware Service Executable not to mention a lot of other processes started up by whatever is causing these 3 to fuck shit up are going back and forth either using all of my disk or CPU, and using a bit or RAM aswell.

This has gone on for 45 minutes now and I hate it.

Here is a screenshot from task manager: https://imgur.com/a/M5SUt In this picture CPU is not being used but every now and then they would use 25% to 80% of my overclocked i5-2500K.

Edit: Wasted my whole damn morning with this, I was planning on playing some games but Windows decided otherwise. Finally decided to reboot and got the bastard program killed. At this point I don't even care if it was dealing with an actual virus (which from the amount of scanning I assume no), I consider Windows 10's ''features'' a virus. What else would I call it? It collects data and slows down your computer.
