This afternoon I had a blue screen crash with a IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL error code. After googling, I discovered it might have been a problem with one of my drivers. I don't know which driver it is and I'm afraid to remove/update them all.
I open my game and noticed severe lag when normally I could play without problems. I closed the game to find it was everything. Chrome (no videos just messenger and non multimedia pages) and Skype were open and both lagged. If I clicked on file explorer, I would have to wait around 15s for it to open if I had the game running, and around 10s without the game. I tried repairing the game client but that made the lag worse. Believing it's a virus, I went on safe mode to scan with Malwarebytes, use rkill, use malware ad cleaner (which removed a few minor-looking threats from chrome) and then back to normal mode to look for improvements. Task manager didnt seem to show any weird processes. The touchpad doesnt work now but my mouse does. It's still very laggy and the computer would sometimes shut down when it's meant to sleep.
I'm running a full virus scan overnight, and fwiw I downloaded Unity 3f3 this afternoon. Thanks for any advice.
