Looking for some support on how best to setup a RAID 10. I'm a VFX artist and my home PC needs some upgrading. I haf a 4930k, 64gx RAM, 1080ti and a nice Asus PG348Q. However my drives are a bit shit - I have one SSD for OS and one HDD for "stuff". "Stuff" is now "lots of stuff", so I wanted to add some space for work files specifically.

After a little reading i've decided to buy 4 Seagate 2TB ST2000DM006 and do a RAID10 setup. I've never had a raid before, and the idea of redundancy is quite appealing as i;m doing more and more freelance work meaning losing any of these files could cost me a job and maybe a client. It looks like there's three ways to setup a RAID - using windows disk management tool, using the bios on my X79 deluxe motherboard, or a piece of hardware. I don't have a clue about the hardware side of it, and it sounds a little complicated for what I need, so it's between Windows 10 tool and BIOS setup.

I've been reading google for like 30 minutes and i'm still not sure which is best and easiest - every forum threads seems to be full of conflicting statements. Which one is best, and does this setup seem legit for my needs?

(also, it there anything regarding my pcs internals that will need checking? like will I have enough sata ports of will i need to buy something else as well).
