The title is kind of a summary of my recent events...
I've been playing Kingdom Come: Deliverance since this last Tuesday without problems. Yesterday, my PC started shutting down randomly while playing. I tracked the event and got this. The older events are Bugcheck 278, while the last ones (starting 20:34 today) are bugcheck 0.
So, I thought that maybe something was overheating (although I constantly checked CPU and GPU and were about 60 and 75 max respectively) and proceeded to disassemble, clean and reassemble my PC. I turn it on and everything seems ok, thought I could finally play and after 2 minutes the screen goes black, but this time the PC doesn't shut down and I could still hear the game sounds. I turn it off manually (hence the bugcheck 0, imo) and restart, still black.
So I change the connector to Intel Graphics and voila! Apparently, my 1060 has no output anymore, even tho it is turned on and the fan is spinning.
The only weird thing I noticed is that one of the cables coming out of my PSU (not the modular ones) was not connected to anything. However, if I recall correctly, that cable was intended for other kind of motherboards, and has no use in mine. I've also tried changing the conector pins of the 1060 cable, with no effect whatsoever.
My HW is: Intel i5 2500k, Asus P8Z68-V, 2xG.Skill Ripjaws 4Gb, Palit 1060 6Gb and OCZ fatal1ty 550W modular. Everything's a bit old, save the 1060, but it's in good condition and has worked great till now.
I have no idea what's happening anymore, will gladly use some help, thank you!
