Hi there.
I have been using an M11x for years and years without any issues until just recently. My battery died finally and wouldn't hold a charge for more than 20m, so I bought a new battery. I bought an official M11x battery, not an oem or off brand. The laptop often says its not recognized on boot up. Sometimes, when I leave the power cable plugged into the laptop, but disconnected from the wall outlet, it will recognized the battery. Swapping in the old battery now suddenly does the same damned thing! I wonder if the battery cable port that runs into the laptop board has become faulty?
Often, removing the battery cable to the board inside and reconnecting will let me use the battery. I can use it for 6+ hours no prob when I do that but the next time I shut down and turn back on, it will not recognize it. Is there anything I can do here to fix this or is this system finally a bust after like 7 years of usage. lol
Im so saddened by this. I really love my M11x and I want to save it. When it does run and boot with the battery, it still runs so well. I recently ugraded ram and the SSD. So any help on how to get this battery issue fixed, is appreciated.
