Description of problem

My Wi-Fi is still discoverable, I can connect to it on my phone and desktop. However, it doesn't load the majority of things. On my phone, Discord app, Twitch app, Amazon app, and RedditIsFun app as well as an app I use for work can't connect. Strangely, YouTube app seems to continue to work, and Chrome loads the 1-2 pages I've tried refreshing and clicking a link to go to a different page. On my desktop when I connect to the Wi-Fi, YouTube on Firefox still loads but no other website does (I think Google might? But that's about it). On my desktop, I don't get internet access through my ethernet connection. routerlogin.net and http://192.168.0.1/ don't load at all. When I open up NETGEAR Genie, it tells me that no router is found or it's not supported. I've been able to access http://192.168.0.1/ and the Genie in the past so this is new.

Cause/Steps to recreate the issue

Anytime I get on my Wi-Fi on my phone or computer I get this same issue. Same with the ethernet. I've just been using Xfinity Wi-Fi to access the internet.

What I've tried so far to resolve the issue

I tried unplugging and plugging the router back in a couple of times, each with no success. Then I tried accessing the Wi-Fi settings, through http://192.168.0.1/ and Netgear genie, which is when I found out I couldn't access the former, and through the latter, it said it couldn't find the device at all. I tried calling Netgear support; they told me to check the lights on my router which turned out to be fine, and then wanted me to buy tech support service (which costs a third of the entire device itself). Poking around the knowledge base, I found that in order to upgrade my firmware (had no idea if it was updated or not since I couldn't access the device) I needed to contact my ISP, so I called Comcast. They said that since it was my device and not theirs, they couldn't upgrade the firmware. They seemed to confirm that there wasn't any issue with their end communicating with the router/modem and even tried resetting the signal, which didn't solve anything. Calling Netgear back, they insisted that it was Comcast that had to upgrade the firmware and gave me no new information and had no suggestion on what to do to or say to Comcast to get them to attempt upgrading my firmware and again tried to sell me their tech support options. I also made this thread on the Netgear community forum asking for help but haven't heard from anyone yet.
