Description of problem
Frequently, my internet would suddenly just stop working out of nowhere and I would have to go hard reset my router. According to my family and use on other devices, this only happens when my PC is on, so we decided that it must be the cause.I'm fairly certain that it's either related to the graphics card or the NVIDIA drivers I have installed along with it. From what I've read online, graphics cards are unrelated to networking, so I think that NVIDIA might be sending some sort of heavy message to cause my router to crash, but I have no idea what's really going on.
Cause/Steps to recreate the issue
The internet will go down for everyone in my family and will require a hard reset, but this only happens when my desktop is connected.
What I've tried so far to resolve the issue
I've tried;

connecting the ethernet cable to different ports on the router

connecting thru a wireless adapter

contacting our internet providers (COX) and they found no issue (but that was before we realised that it was only when the desktop was on, so it was off when they came)
